Red Deer Resort & Casino
3310 50 Avenue, Red Deer, AB T4N 3X9
Red Deer Resort & Casino is an O'Chiese First Nation-owned hospitality and gaming property combining a modern casino with an established hotel. Its history extends through several generations of hotel operations, including its earlier identities as the Capri, Sheraton and Cambridge Hotel.
O'Chiese First Nation acquired the hotel property in October 2020 through its business and investment operations. The redevelopment introduced a new casino on September 8, 2023, following plans to relocate the established Jackpot Casino operation from downtown Red Deer.
The project forms part of the First Nation's wider investment and economic development activities. Its casino design draws inspiration from Alberta's prairie sunrises and Rocky Mountain sunsets, with a waterfall feature representing the importance of water and the surrounding natural landscape.
Today the resort brings together a 38,000-square-foot gaming floor, slot machines, video lottery terminals, live table games, a dedicated poker room, dining venues and 241 guestrooms and suites. Guests can also access hotel wellness facilities and an extensive range of meeting and event spaces.
